Sunset: Spring is Upon Us

Spring is finally here and everyone is ready to be outside.  The photo above was taken Monday night of the sunset over the Susquehanna River.  It was a beautiful and warm night with the high for the day reaching 80 degrees.  The sunset brings great tranquility on one of the first real days of spring.  Everyone will soon be outside and loving life.  Baseball season has started and everyone seems to be in a great mood.  Nothing is better then a beautiful sunset to start off the spring.

Renovation of Carver Hall

Bloomsburg University announced their plans to renovate historical Carver Hall.  The building sits at the base of the Bloomsburg Campus and is where the university president operates out of.  The renovation was budgeted at 2.5 million dollars.  For many students including myself this is outrageous.  With the PA budget cut proposal our tuitions are poised to go up 30%.  Carver Hall is fine at the moment and this money should be going towards students who need the financial aid.   

Troops Patrolling Kabul

The soldiers deployed in Kabul are for the main reason of security.  These British reserves are patrolling the streets on foot in an effort to keep the peace.  They are also providing perimeter security.  While foot patrolling the soldiers have had the chance to meet and interact with locals
